Life status: Positive

Returning from a crazy busy Christmas Holiday- rolling into this year with Cosplay and more Anime fun~

During Christmas, I drowned myself in Filipino glory and food, I was so grateful  since my cooking in Uni isn't as great as at home. I really missed seeing familiar faces of my insane cousins and family. After several parties later, I can almost guarantee that I've gained 3kg ..way to hit off a new year huh? No regrets huhuhu~

Breaking through to 2014 with fork in hand and cake in mouth, I'm definitely looking forward to my adventures this year, there's so many things to do and opportunities to grab. Starting with a strong motivation to work better in my course and challenging myself, launching a Cosplay page ( coming soon) and attending more conventions! I'm so excited to meet new people and branching myself out of my comfort zone (no sarcasm intended), I'm really going to step it up this year with more photo shoots, cosplay, make-up tutorials, blogging aaaand..also my uni work~

The younger me (who had way too many insecurities) wouldn't have had the guts to venture and put myself 'out there'....a virtual place full of masked strangers and anonymous identities- the internet. I was always scared and nervous to do something different, *flash back*  I was super ashamed of loving Anime and Manga..also dressing up in Cosplay, I wouldn't really tell anyone about it and I wanted it to be as secret as possible- but with a little push and a little experience I'm now able to be confident enough to post the things I love out there.

Back to the present day, me and my friends launched my cosplay page and are now preparing for Telford MCM ! I'm super excited since the business cards have arrived!

James really worked hard designing this and after a bit of my touch it's finished, I'm so excited to work with other cosplayers and meeting them! Deadlines....after deadlines, crazy but your gotta have that system in your life, another one tomorrow for our visual design.

Wish me luck guys and stay tuned ~

Vehicle concept art: Development and final

For this project we had to develop and paint a vehicle from our chosen item:
My item was my old flip phone.

The initial idea was to help us understand the basic shape and components of our item

Drawing simplified and primitive shapes of our items helped this process

Silhouettes of my phone- this was to help generate the idea of our vehicle
We also had to bring in a book to get silhouettes from

My idea was generated from planes and bugs such as a dragonfly and wanted to base the body off of that

I tried many designs and experimented on the angles

The basic shape and body of the vehicle

At some points I disliked the idea of an aircraft so I tried out a land vehicle

There were many designs but I eventually stuck to my original plan

With bug and insects at mind I took their shapes and developed it even more

I ended up with a ladybird/dragonfly look

My final design doesn't have this many wings
